We analyze the child's behaviors and responses to different aspects of play and its meaning to the child.

WHAT WE DO

We work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat disorders in children. Areas include: speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing.

Articulation

Producing speech sounds in words, sentences, and conversations

Phonology

Recognizing & manipulating speech sounds to make words & build literacy skills

ORAL MOTOR FUNCTION

Using oral structures (mouth, teeth, tongue, etc.) for speech and safe, efficient eating

Receptive Language

The ability to comprehend & understand messages

Expressive Language

The ability to express wants, needs, and ideas. This includes vocabulary, grammar, & concepts.

Cognitive Development

Developing skills in memory, problem-solving, predicting & interacting with others

Pragmatic Language

Social language skills. This includes using language for different purposes and following rules for conversations (ie. taking turns, eye contact, engaging in social interactions, etc.)

Reading + Writing

Decoding and understanding written information; Written language skills including spelling correctly and writing in a clear organized fashion.

Fluency

Speaking smoothly at an appropriate rate in conversations

Feeding Therapy

Accepting a variety of nutritious foods with varying flavors, textures, temperatures, and maintaining chewing demands
